Nestled in the heart of the Himalayas, surrounded by lush, endless orchards is Big Bear Farms. A little business with a big heart.
We grew up in these orchards, surrounded by trees heavy with fruit and stories. If we wanted bread, we baked it. If we wanted jam, we made it — just like our mother and grandmother did. These were rituals rooted in the seasonal rhythms of our beautiful Himalayan valley.
In a world where food is increasingly industrial and disconnected from its source, we're here to slow down and reconnect. To invite you to savour the simple joy of jam on toast, to align with nature's seasons, and to cherish the everyday moments that bring us home.
We've heard your stories — how our toffees reminded you of summer holidays, how our jams brought back school-tiffin memories, how you gifted our jars to loved ones far away because they "tasted like home." That's why we do this.
Our team
Big Bear Farms is family-run, rooted in generations of wisdom. Jaya, Veer, and I (Nikita) lead the way as co-founders but this has never been a three-person job — everyone in the family has been involved every step of the way. Our team is built locally here in Kullu Himachal Pradesh, their skills perfected right here.
Jaya
At the heart of Big Bear Farms is Jaya, our culinary magician. She turns fresh fruit into jars of gold. Whether it's for a cosy family breakfast or a celebration with a 100, she makes it exceptional and effortless.
Veer
The soul of our enterprise, problem-solver and logistics guru, Veer ensures our farm-fresh goodies make their way safely from our home to tables across the country.
Nikita
Our wordsmith and visual artist, Nikita, is the voice of Big Bear Farms, who ensures the story of our fruit, our family and life in the valley is shared with you.
